At least two civilians were killed Sunday night and two others injured in Bondhere district of Mogadishu when suspected suicide car bomb exploded near a residential area.

District Commissioner Qaasim Abdullahi confirmed to reporters noting the explosion hit a place close to an IDP camp.

“A moving vehicle exploded here. It exploded close to IDP’s (internally displaced persons) homes and then two civilians killed while two others injured” said commissioner Qasim.

Injured civilians were taken to Madina Hospital and doctors say they are in stable condition.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack, but Alshabab frequently does suicide car bombs in the capital Mogadishu.
