SWS president Laftagareen appoint committee to investigate the violence in Baidoa during the election

Southwest state president Abdiaziz Laftagareen has today appointed a committee to investigate the violence that happened in Baidoa town during the presidential election.

The committee which contributes to 7-members has not indicated their role of power on the statement issued by the SWS president.

Nicholas Haysom, the United Nations envoy for Somalia, has previously demanded and called on the federal government to investigate the incident in Baidoa but the federal government of Somalia has responded to expel Haysom from the country

Abdiaziz was elected in a cynical election in Baidoa on December 19, 2018.
