The Government is Investigating the Attack on the Senator’ House says Information Minister

Federal minister for information, Culture and Tourism Abdirahman Omar Osman aka Yarisow  has announced that the government has initiated an investigation into the unlawful attack today at around 2pm on the house of Senator Abdi Qeybdid in Mogadishu.

Posting on his official face book page, minister Osman Yarisow noted that the government is carrying out investigation to find out who was behind the attack and why it was carried out. He added the perpetrators will face the law as soon as possible.

“The federal government is carrying out investigation on the reason and who was behind the incident on Senator Abdi Qeybdid. They will face the law in the quickest possible time” said minister Osman Yarisow.

Separately, the besieged former presidential candidate and one time minister Abdirahman Abdishakur Abdishakur also commented on the incident through his face book page terming the attack as another jab at democracy and breaking the law.

“It is another attack on democracy. It is a clear indication for violating the constitution. If things are not brought under control, the country is on the edge for a civil war” said Abdishakur.

Senator Qeybdid spoke to the media an hour ago said his house was attacked by government soldiers saying he was perplexed and has no clue why it happened.
