Ahlu Suna in Central Somalia celebrates first day of Eid Al-adha

The top leaders of Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama’a in central Somalia are celebrating Eid Al-Adha with thousands of Muslims in Dusa-Mareb, Guriel and other areas in the region.

The administration of Ahlu Suna Wal Jama’a has on Saturday announced that Sunday is the first day of Eid-Al-Adha despite the Muslim world including some parts of Somalia observed the great day on Sunday 4th of October.

Our correspondent in Central Somalia regions says thousands of Muslims dressed with new clothes holding their children by hand gathered in the mosques to celebrate Eid Al-adha.

After the prayers the leaders  urged the public to unite, work towards maintaining security and strengthening the bond of brotherhood.

Ahlu Suna controlled areas is famous for observing the Eid days one day after the celebration of the Muslim world.

Other countries in Asia like Malasia are celebrating Eid Al-adha on Sunday while Pakistan has announced Monday as the first day of Eid al-Adha.
