Turkey: defense ministers of Turkey and Somalia meet in Ankara

The ministers for defense of the  Federal government of Somalia and Turkey are expected to meet in Ankara today.

Federal government defense minister Mohamed Sheikh Hamud and his counterpart  of Turkey will discuss wide range issues on  security  and bilateral relations.

Abdi Kadiye member of Somali embassy in Ankara confirmed that Turkey government preparing to submit packages of military support to the federal government of Somalia the coming few days.

The minister for defense Mr. Hamud has visited historical sites in Turkey and the headquarters of Turkish military.

The government of Turkey has promised to actively take part in re-building of Somali national army that has received good training more than two decades.

Turkish government has done a lot in the Somali capital in terms of reconstruction and improving of social services which makes Mogadishu much better city than it was some two years ago.
