Two foreign Al-Shabaab suspects to go on trial in Mogadishu today

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Two foreign nationals who have been accused of belonging to the militant group Al-Shabaab are set to go on trial today in Mogadishu.

According to sources at the military court in Mogadishu, the two suspects said to be Malaysian and British nationals will be tried today for ‘entering the country illegally and fighting for Al-Shabaab.’

It was not however immediately clear when and where the two suspects were arrested. Al-Shabaab has had fighters and bomb-making from foreign countries in its ranks.
