Two killed as spate of attacks continue in Mogadishu

GOOBJOOG NEWS/ MOGADISHU: Two people, including a member of the Somali army, have been killed in the Somali capital, Mogadishu- the latest in a series of attacks that have occurred in the city in recent weeks.

In the first incident, a young man was killed in Hosh neighborhood of Dharkenley district in Benadir region, after men armed with daggers, stabbed him in a robbery incident. 

The young man, identified as Khalid Abdihamin Maalim Ali, was allegedly stabbed in the chest by the assailants who stole his mobile phone and fled the scene immediately after committing the heinous act.

In the second incident, a soldier was shot dead by armed men as he alighted from a motorcycle on his way home from his workplace-  Gorgor Army Camp, near the Tarabunka intersection.

The motive of his killing remains unclear as no one has taken responsibility for the killing of the soldier who was said to be married recently.
