Two killed, five injured in car bomb attack in Mogadishu

At least two people were killed and five others sustained injuries in a car bomb explosion near the former parliament building in down-town Mogadishu.

Eyewitnesses said the car blew up at a junction when police manning the roadblock attempted to stop the car. It burst killing two people and injuring five others.

Pictures from the scene show damaged cars and nearby structures. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but the militant group Al-Shabaab has conducted similar attacks in the past.
