Two soldiers killed in landmine attack in Lower Shabelle region

Two Somali army soldiers were killed and two others injured in a landmine explosion in Lower Shabelle region, officials said.

A police officer told the media the two were killed when their technical ran into a landmine along Number 60 and Shalembood road.

The injured soldiers were taken to a hospital in Afgooye town.

The militant group Al-Shabaab which claimed responsibility said it killed three soldiers.
