U.S announces new shelling in Middle Juba Somalia

AFRICOM – The United States on Wednesday carried out of an airstrike into the Middle Juba region.

In a press released by the AFRICOM indicate a bomb blast near the town of Dujumma about 6 kilometers from Bu’aale in Middle Juba which killed a member of Al-Shabaab.

 Bradford J. Gering who also served as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the United States Army said that the Somali national army and US forces have killed a member of Al-Shabaab.

Meanwhile, the United States has confirmed that no civilian casualties were reported during the operation near the village of Dujumma in Middle Juba.

The United States forces allied with Somali national forces has often carried out airstrikes in areas under Al-Shabaab control which resulted in the killing of many Al-Shabbab fighters and reduced their attacks in the region for the last two years.
