UN support Somalia, Somaliland dialogue in Djibouti

Somalia’s international partners welcome the dialogue between President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed ‘Farmajo’ and President Muse Bihi Abdi held in Djibouti.

According to the United Nation press statement, the commitment of the two leaders brings renewed hope for the Somali people and horn of Africa.

“We welcome the meeting as an important step in strengthening communication and fostering understanding, and encourage the technical committee named by the principals to deliver tangible benefits for their people”.

The President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh hosted the meeting following a delegation led by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali attended the conference.

The European Union also welcomed the dialogue in Djibouti and the process of uniting the two parties on Tuesday.
