Upper House approves 5-member constitutional Commission

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The members of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia today held their regular meeting in Mogadishu, chaired by Speaker Abdi Hashi Abdullahi.

In today’s session, the senators selected five members who will represent the bicameral constitutional review and oversight committee in Somalia.

The approved members are:

1. Senator Abdi Hassan Awale (Qaybdiid)
2. Senator Iftin Hassan Iiman (Baasto)
3. Senator Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartag)
4. Senator Salah Ahmed Jama
5. Senator Hassan Hussein Haji.
