Victims of Tuesday’s suicide attack to be taken abroad for treatment, Minister

The seriously wounded victims of Tuesday’s suicide attack in Mogadishu will be flown out of the country for specialised treatment, Somali health ministry said.

Somali minister for health, Mohamed haji Abdinoor, who visited Madina Hospital which recieved most of the injured people, said Somali government will take the critically wounded victims to abroad for further treatment.

“My ministry is ready to airlift wounded people outside the country for specialised treatment and also help those who are recieving medical treatment inside the country,” said Abdinoor.

The suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden truck near the gate of Somalia’s presidential palace and SYL Hotel which is frequented by government officials and business executives.

Al-Shabaab has claimed for the responsibility deadly suicide attack that killed over fifteen people and wounded over thirty others.
