We will not bury our daughter until justice is served, says family of gang raped girl in Janale

The parents of the 15-year-old girl who succumbed to gang rape injuries in a hospital in Marka have vowed not to bury their daughter until justice is served.  Sahro Ali Mohamud, was allegedly raped by over 10 government soldiers including civilians in Janale, Lower Shabelle region as confirmed by government officials in the region.

Speaking to the media, the late Sahro’s teary father, Ali Mohamud Kulmiye called on authorities to intervene in the matter and ensure that those who raped his daughter leading to her death should be brought to justice.

The late girl’s mother said she was aware that some of the suspects had been arrested but were later released without trial, insisting that she will only bury her daughter once Islamic law is applied in the case involving her daughter and the men who committed the evil act pay for their consequences.
