Woman shot dead by Puntland presidential guard

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GAROWE: A woman was shot dead Monday night by the Puntland presidential guard in Garowe, sources said.

Maryan Ahmed Aato died after the guards fired at the vehicle she was travelling in. Sources said the vehicle had joined the convoy accompanying president Abdullahi Deni as he returned to Garowe from Qardho region where he was attending election campaigns.

Puntland government has not commented on the matter.
