Yaqshid district official killed in explosion

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The Deputy Political Chairman of the Yaqshid District Administration,  Professor Maallin Hussein (Filla-Wayne) was last night killed in an explosion that took place  in one of the neighbourhoods in Buulo Maahay, Karaan District.

Confirming the incident, Yaqshid Deputy Commissioner of Social Affairs, Abdullahi Shillow, said Hussein was killed after an explosive device which had been planted in his car went off, causing the instant death of the official.

Reports have also indicated that some of his bodyguards were injured in the explosion, although there is still no confirmation from an independent source, as the Benadir administration is yet to speak about the matter.
